With the Christmas Holidays just recently ended, many of us may be up to our necks in credit card bills. Although, economic experts have said that consumer spending was even lower than predicted, so hopefully there are fewer Christmas splurges than there may have been.
My young grandson had asked Santa to bring him a jeep for Christmas, but his mommy (knowing their budget was too tight) told him that it probably wouldn't happen this year.
I got on line about a week and a half before Christmas and did some research into different models and brands of jeeps for three to six-year-olds. After much comparison, I finally decided on the Fisher-Price Power Wheels Hurricane. It is a great little ride-on toy jeep and will last my four-year-old grandson another three or four years. He loves it and spends every day (that it isn't raining or unbearably cold) riding it around the yard. He especially loves to shift the gears, play the radio, and listen to the voice that tells him he is turning right' or turning left' or going forward' or backward'. The key makes a realistic starting and motor sound when he turns it. His first day to take it out, he came running into the house to get his drink cup-the jeep actually has a cup holder. (only one although the description says two).
It does take about three hours-now I'm talking Grannie and Papa speed-to assemble the unit, but with one reading instructions and the other following, it goes together right the first time.
I can only say good things about this toy-although it is a bit pricey, we caught it on sale and saved some money and it shipped free to our local Walmart. The battery that comes with it isn't very powerful and only lasts thirty to forty five minutes, so I do recommend that you purchase the more powerful spare battery. Having a backup battery charged keeps the fun going for hours. We have loads of pictures and videos to keep us entertained for hours.
Thanks Fisher-Price for a toy that is well worth the money for the joy that it brings.

hi sandra, now aren't you glad you decided to get that jeep?i don't think you can go wrong with fischer price.i'd shoot them an e mail though about the cupholder.a company with a well known name like theirs wouldsurely want their advertising to be correct.i wish your grandson many hours of joy.my best, sueThanks again, Sue, for reading and commenting. I had read on one review that the jeep only had one cup-holder instead of two, so apparently someone else had found it after they bought it. Either Fisher-Price don't read their product reviews or just don't care, because they didn't change their description of the jeep.Oh, well, one drink holder is enough for my grandson.Have a good week.Sandra
