Did You Ever Know That You're my Hero?

My Books and Articles

"Did you ever know that you're my hero?

And everything I'd like to be.

That was a beautiful song and sang by one of my favorite artists.

When I think of all the great and talented writers that we have at SearchWarp, that song pops into my head. As I read each new article-of course there are too many to read them all, but I try. I also try to evaluate each article, by its individuality. And I think about how I wish I had that particular trait that makes that one article stand out and attain notice.

Every writer has a different style. Every writer has a different interest. Every writer's talent lies in a different aspect of writing. As I read each article, I have no trouble finding something good in each one. I won't say I haven't skipped a few articles, because I have. But not because the articles aren't good; actually, I'm more afraid that they are too good-over my head, so to speak. I'm afraid that if the article is too far above my head-and there are many-I'm afraid I won't give it the marks that it deserves.

I can give the article a rating for being well written, but maybe I can't say it is interesting because I don't understand it, or maybe I can say it is informative. Or maybe I'm not into painting a boat, or fixing a transmission without spending x-amount of dollars. Or maybe my religion doesn't embrace Buddhism or Hinduism. And maybe I don't know about the governmental fundamentals of the UK or China. I am totally lost on sports and politics, economics and business, medicine and how to keep your teen off drugs. That really doesn't leave much.

My mother had always told me that if I couldn't say anything good about something or someone, I shouldn't say anything at all. What do other SearchWarpers do in a situation where the article is totally out of their realm? Do they skip or do they rate the best way they can?

I probably worry too much about things that are totally unimportant. But when I think about all the fantastic writers at SearchWarp, I am so afraid that I am totally out of my league. And this is why I have to say again- You Are My Heros.

I keep hoping that by belonging to such a wonderful group of people, some of this talent will rub off on me.

God Bless, Best Wishes, and Happy New Year to All.

hi sandra,

i've thought your thoughts before, as well.

if something is way above my head, i skip.

if i can comment on it in a positive way, i do so.

see-problem solved. :)

there are those who need to know how to ventilate an attic or put in a sump pump, i just don't happen to be one of them. no offense to the writer, or the article, it's just that i read for enjoyment, and if i know i'm not going to enjoy an article, i skip, and that doesn't really happen too often, compared to how many i read.

happy new year to you,

best regards,

Hi Sandra this article has really hit home for me because every article that I now write will have me think about the comments left. Comments like this is interesting or informative will have no real meaning if the reader does not undrstand where I am coming from in what I write. Nevrtheless looking forward to writing my next "boring" and "un-informative" article.

Loved the article Sandra it was very interesting and informative (lol)

Thanks Kacy, but I don't remember you ever writing just an 'interesting' or 'informative' article.  I do however, remember a few 'great' ones.
Have a good week.

Hi Sandra, isn't it nice to know you are not alone. I think most of us do the same things. I do read a few out of my element because I think there is always something to learn, even if it is just writing style. Reading about how to catch fish is a stretch for me, but I do read them once in awhile. And like you and Sue said, its not to offend or discount the author, but its more about what strikes my interest. On the other hand, I have become fans of some writers that I would not have come to appreciate if I didn't step out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for being real--but then again, you always are :-)

Thanks, Teresa.  I'm glad Art made it home ok.
The articles that I give high marks for 'informative' are usually the ones that I have learned something from.  And you are right, those are probably the ones we should be reading--those that appear to be over our heads.
Have a geat week.

Sandra, I've been writing for a while. However, your writings appear to be "Breathing." This is for you, excerpt from: A Lady's Worth (from Heaven At Its Best)

The worth of a moral lady is advanced of the worth of the opulence of the globe, but the lady and the value of her as a righteous woman has been attenuated by the structured system of human organization of this earth. To attenuate the lady of any nation weakens that nation of its virtue. When the woman of a world standard diminishes “Woe is me,” for the Flower of Ecstasy and Bliss has been scorned on an unclothed humanity (Laconic, Dr. Clarence Rucker, PhD FC CCJP ICCS.)

This is why every woman and the general public must reconsider how we gaze upon the females in our humanity. Just to think of the beauty of this being is more than a pleasure but is an installment in the bosom of our hearts. Men present her as being endowed or exceptional, she will be an identical you in the improvement of this humanity, realm or nation, do not devalue her. Adore her landscape of sexual symbolness that God gave her without devaluing her. She is virtuous. Let God continue to grace her in this humanity. Surely God will only present her as a daughter of decency. Rubies and gold cannot compare to her. The value of her can flood the earth with beauty. The dust mind of man cannot begin to give the woman her price.

Now that, Dr. Clarence, is what I would call writing.  I can certainly tell that you have been writing for awhile.  Your kinds words about my humble writing is (as they say) 'chicken soup for the soul'.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are really and truly the right stuff of heroes.
Thank you again for writing and commenting.
May your sojourn at SearchWarp be all that you could want it to be.
